Cleansing Crystals

(Crystals that I use for chakra meditation)

Crystals absorb, diffuse or amplify energies depending on the the type of crystal and the type of programming the crystal has. When you buy crystals, it has imbibed whatever vibrations it encountered before it reached your hand i.e the vibration of the mines, the market/store or wherever the crystal first passed by before reaching your possession. Before you start working with crystals, you first need to cleanse it so as it would be open to whatever programming you wish to give it. Here are a few methods on cleansing crystals that I personally use.

1. Salt bath

The most ideal to use is sea water, but since most of us live far from the ocean, you can use a mixture of luke warm water and rock salt (never ever ever use iodized salt ok). The water absorbs the energy stored in the crystal and the salt breaks the energy down. Submerge your crystals in the salt bath overnight or so, depending on your feel or intuition. When you touch your crystals and feel that they are clean, then they are ready for programming.


2. Sound vibrations

You can use tibetan singing bells or quartz crystal bells or you can use mantras (sacred words chanted ex. buddhist mantras or the christian rosary). These sounds elevate the vibrations of your crystals to a higher frequency thus making it closer to the Divine.


3. Visualization

Visualization is a very important psychic tool. There are many things you can accomplish through visualization, but we are going to discuss that on another day. We are goin to concentrate now on the use of visualization in cleansing crystals. This is the visualization technique that I developed to cleanse my crystals.

a. Place your right hand - your giving hand on the crystal.
b. Close your eyes and do a progressive relaxation exercise.
c. Now visualize a pure white light coming from heaven and enter your crown chakra or the top of your head. Allow this pure white light to cover your whole body. Let this white light flow to your right hand and see this light cover the entire crystal breaking whatever negative energy the crystal has.


These are the techniques that I use to cleanse my crystals. There are still a lot of methods on cleansing crystals, which you can research. Feel free to find the best method suitable to your needs.
